There are two gay hotels in Nicaragua.

 

Managua

 

The first one is for those of you who want to be close to the capitol. Viva Guest House is a gay-ownedGay Hotel Nicaragua small hotel about 20 minutes from the bars and downtown Managua. It has a ``bed and breakfast`` feel to it. It is close to everything but a world away as far as environment and security. It is a small place but it has a pool, air conditioning and is in a very pretty setting. The owner is American and has all of the scoop on gay life in Nicaragua. The hotel is not exclusively gay. Granada

 

In Granada, Hotel Joluva is the gay hotel. Located about 45 minutes from the airport, Gay Hotel Granada NicaraguaGranada is a beautiful colonial city with architechture from the 1500s. The owners are Belgian ex-pats living in Nicaragua. This small hotel is located in the heart of Granada and caters mainly to gay clientele. Rooms run about $45 per night. They have four rooms at the hotel and are involved in another project that offers use of the pool to Joluva cients a short drive away. They are building a gay vacation community where lots are being sold for condos. Currently, the pool exists and homes are being built.
