GAY THEATERS IN MANAGUA:
Managua offers straight and gay adult theaters. They are located very close to each other and they seem to be interchangable. A recent visitor sent me the following email after his trip to them:
"(sic") I ended up going twice to the theaters. One is called Trébol and the other one is the Palace. I never saw the names, but I'm pretty sure they're the ones I went to, and they're right next to each other (in the same building). (There's apparently another one called the Doral in another part of town.) They're open something like from 5pm until 9pm. They're real seedy, but there were lots of guys there both times. The theater on the left plays raunchy heterosexual movies, and most of the guys there probably want people to think they're straight. But there was lots of hanky-panky going on, most notably in the back row. The first night I was there, one guy actually had all of his clothes off and was sitting on another guy's dick. Most of the guys, though, just sat by themselves; some jacked off.
In the theater on the right, they play gay movies. The cost for the one on the left is 30 córdobas, and for 10 more you can go in both places (and back and forth between them). The interpersonal signals and such were harder for me to follow in the gay theater (partly perhaps for cultural reasons, but maybe mostly because I have so little experience in these places). The first night I met a guy in the "straight" theater and he and I went over to the other one because it's darker and he felt more comfortable sucking me off without anyone else seeing us. The second night I just walked into the gay theater alone and met a guy who was in the mood to suck cock and seemed to like mine (lucky for me). I also found out, rather belatedly, that there is a "dark room" of sorts in the theater on the right (the gay one). But it is really small and *very* gross; I think it is or was a bathroom, and there is a mix of god-awful liquids on the floor. It also smells awful. And guys seem to go in there together to do stuff, which strikes me as really silly when the whole theater is dark and they could do anything out there much more comfortably. At any rate, I realize now that the best thing to do is probably to go into the gay theater and hang around until you manage to hook up with some guy and sit together and start getting off. By the way, this place is not somewhere you'd ever want to go on foot at night. I took a hotel taxi the first night and Fermín took me the second night. I wouldn't go any other way. BTW, Fermín also brought me to Granada Sunday night. I found him likable and trustworthy, just as you had said. That's all for now. I hope I get a chance to meet you someday. Thanks a ton for your advice.
